Hi I’m Ben Dysart,

I operate Dysart Knives out of my shop in Spokane, Washington. I’ve always loved to make things with my hands and in 2019 I got serious about knife making. I care about the products I make. I love the outdoors and cooking and I think about knives everyday.

Dysart Knives comes from a place of care and love, but also a personal desire to push against mainstream consumerism. Sometimes my internal motto is “consumer to producer”.

I hate that when you buy from amazon the profit goes to some fat cat, and the products are garbage, and there is no accountability when you try to get support.

When you buy a knife from me, you know the money supports me and my US based suppliers, you are getting a quality product because I don’t cut corners, and I am a real guy so if something isn’t right you can talk to a real person.

Knives hold a special place in the human consciousness. The knife may have been the earliest tool our ancestors created. Although we live in the modern world I believe every person has the need for at least one high quality knife. A knife is more than a tool. It represents our resourcefulness and ability to shape our surroundings. A good knife increases pleasure and productivity in the kitchen, on the job, or in outdoor recreation.
